Bitcoin Tipping on Twitter – A MASSIVE Step Forward for Crypto Currencies

Twitter just announced it will allow users to tip creators with Bitcoin, and will launch a fund to pay some users who host audio chat rooms on Spaces.

Believe it or not, this is a HUGE step forward for Bitcoin and crypto currencies.

Why?

Because it’s a way to use Bitcoin without trading it – it’s Bitcoin actually functioning as a currency.

The #1 obstacle to the growth of crypto currencies is the shortage of ways to spend it. (It’s the same story with Dogecoin)

So if a big company like Twitter is accepting Bitcoin as payments to creators, that’s a huge step forward.

Because it might inspire other companies to move forward and find new and interesting ways to accept Bitcoin as payment.

Of course, Bitcoin and other cryptos need a real watershed moment. Like an Amazon (AMZN) or a Wal-Mart (WMT) accepting cryptos as payment.

Still, let’s thank Twitter for taking this step forward!
